Sticky woodwork?
I have tried goo gone, murphy's grease soap, pine sol and soft scrub. and nothing works. is within anything else i can try
Answers: just use wash soap, this is grease, soap will wash it bad,
and not hurt the paint work
ive allways had accurate luck with simple green,also in that is goof off. that works honest but itcan take sour paint.

Sounds like grease- try wasing it next to tsp (tri sodium phosphate) available at most hardware stores or use electrasol- just a small amount to 1 gallon of water- should cut the grease- and remember to rinse after wash!
If its pine maybe it wasn't dried properly until that time construction. Also high humidity can provide it sticky feel...include some more details roughly speaking your location, age of house, type of wood, whether its stained, or could be it's painted and needs attention here...
depends on the wood, painted? stained? old paint? tentative paint? what kind of paint?
I would damp a rag beside laquar thinner, not paint thinner, laquar thinner. Not a soaked rag and wipe, not scrub, it will evaporate drastically quickly as long as you dident soak the duster. Only try this on a small spot not so obvious to put together sure it doesent damage your finish.
When I give attention to of sticky wood work, I usually think of grease buildup first because I've encounter kitchen cupboards with it and they be aware of sticky. I usually deal near grease buildup by soaking in a solution of baking soda and sea. This might be difficult with woodwork, because it really does entail to soak a while to remove the grease. Next, I would probably try some kind of degreaser product on it. Stanley Home Products make a good one if you can find a hawker.
Does it seem resembling just grime? What you've tried already should enjoy taken care of it if that be the case.
What sensitive of wood work is it? Painted, stained, old, current? Another thing I'm thinking is that near is something wrong with the paint or varnish to be precise on it. Maybe it was done incorrectly or mixed wrong. If that's the problem, you'll probably necessitate to strip it and re-varnish or repaint. I'm not a wood working expert, but just an notion.
Is the humidity in your house extremely elevated? I would think that might affect it.
Might it be wood sap seep out of the wood?
What will work to remove it really depends on what it is that's so sticky. That would really bother me. Tried to come up with a few planning for you. Good luck.
Try a solution of hot water/vinegar in a spray bottle.. Spray and wipe stale with a soft cloth.. That should remove any residue.. Don't over raining or you could warp the wood. You may have to try a couple applications.. Good luck
