How can I stop my wool rug from shredding, it is in the region of six months hoary and is still shredding?
Answers: A new wool mat may actually shed heavily for the first few months of use. Since the porous wool fibers are individual connected on one end, it is unforced for them to come loose, and they tend to ball up because of static. This typically last for a month or two (with regular traffic). Frequent vacuuming will help control the amount of loose fibers that are contained by the room.
it will shed and shred for ever, dont worry, mines 10 years out-of-date and still does it, especially when the cats have be at it. it still looks good tho

Some wool will keep hold of shredding and others hardly shred.
I enjoy had a wool rug for over 20 years and it have not even shred once.
we bought one from ikea and it just go on and on
