depends on what hte candlestick is made of...If it's glass or metal, you could use hot water but make sure you protect your hands. If it's a wooden candlestick or something that couldn't withstand hot water, call a candle store and ask (White Barn Candle Company or Yankee Candle). I'm sure they would have a good suggestion since they are in the candle business.
I agree w/the above response.by putting it in the freezer. If it does not fit in the freezer the refrigerator can work too. I have also melted it off in a microwave, hot water, or stove. If you get it on the carpet you can use a paper bag and blot it up w/a warm iron.
In hot (not boiling) water and a clean cloth, that's what worked with silver, other metals, and porcelain, in my case,
I have used something wooden like a popsicle stick and scraped it off then used a papertowel to get the dregs off.
Just run hot water on it. It will sofen and come right off.
If it's glass and not metal you can soak it in hot water and then take a butter knife around the edges to get rid of the excess wax, then if you have a dishwasher u may then place in the top rack the holder and wash with your dishes and it will be gone :)
Just chip it away with a pocket knife.
Put it in the freezer. I should crack off easily
when i'm ready to remove the wax, i always put it in a container of cold water, let set for 1 hour....no problem.....goodluck....
