How can you get rid of discolouration from a TV set?

I have a Sony widescreen TV (not flatscreen) & over the last 3 years parts of the silver casing have gone dark (through heat?). Can anything clean this off?

Silver plastic casing goes black as its black underneath. This is simple wear and tear. Sorry
