should I clean my carpets right myself by renting a machine, or gave it done professionally?

If you rent a machine and do it your self it will save you money; however it will take you more time and it's a hassle.
If you let the pros do it their machines can extract more of the water so the drying time is less; however you'll have some stangers in your house with their hoses coming in one way and out the other.
