We have a plantation style front porch i.e. terribly stained next to that Georgia red clay. I've tried bleach, pressure washing, scrub but nothing is working. It's also stained the stand of my white columns. Other than hiring a professional are there any easier remedies I can try first?
Answers:
Acid swab or use a power washer. You can get both at Home Depot or Lowes. We enjoy the same problem near Red Oklahoma Clay.
Let it dry and you should be able to brush it bad. Getting it wet make it stick. Clay is really a kind of mud, or showery dirt. If it has hardened because of sunlight, you may know how to scrape or chip it loose.
I know you call for an acid cleaner, Try pouring some white vinegar on a spot and consent to it sit for about 2 hours and after wash it next to washing detergent. Vinegar is tart, just might do something.Sorry I couldn;t be of more facilitate.
