What's the best cleaning agent for baby items?
Answers:
Believe it or not, mouthwash is a disinfectant! It's great for kids toys because it won't poison them if they put them in their mouth!
For rattles and teething rings, they can be washed in the dish washer on the top rack, this is best since it's hot water.
For plastic toys in general, they can washed in the dish washer to remove germs.
For doll clothes and soft toys, they can be laundered, but it has to be done in a non-toxic detergant, so you can get her some of that. For the dolls themselves, to clean them, you can shampoo the hair and use a detangler which she can use the same ones she uses on her baby.
For stuffed animals, they're best cleaned with either baking soda or cornstarch. For the baking soda, she can lie the animal on a towel, sprinkle it with the baking soda, roll the toy in the towel and let sit overnight. For the cornstarch method, she can put the toy in a big ziploc bag, sprinkle in the cornstarch, seal the bag, and shake! Then let it sit for a while. When these are both ready to open, take them outside open them, and then brush off the animals with a brush to get everything off. The baking soda cleans and deordorizes the toy too!
All these are natural ways of cleaning and won't harm baby! For regular all natural cleaners that she can keep on hand, you can get her Borax (in the laundry aisle) Baking Soda, White vinegar, and a bottle of lemon juice, these are all natural cleaners.
The lemon juice is nature's bleach and can be made into a paste. White vinegar is a natural acidic and is great for soap scum and mineral deposits amongst other things, many uses for this! Baking soda is a mild abrasive and can also be made into a paste. Borax is a natural cleaner that has many uses and can be made into pastes. It's also a laundry enhancer.
Sorry this is so long! I hope it helps though!

Fairy Non-Bio is great.
Dreft
There is a baby stain remover. It comes in a spray bottle. You can get it at wal-mart. I believe it is Dreft. It is really good. If that don't work try Shout. It won't hurt anything. Hope this helps.
Dreft or ivory snow for the baby clothes. For the baby's wash, use any of the shampoos and washes in the baby section
Simple Green
For cleaning "the other stuff" Ivory Snow in a spray bottle with water is great...That is all I used when my son was small. You could also use just about anything that is bio degradable though..that way you are sure it's safe in case the baby gets something in his/her mouth
Believe it or not, baking soda. It is all natural. If you don't believe that then try ALL detergent for babies. It is cheaper than Dreft.
