Will it hurt clothing to store it in hard plastic containers (rubbermaid or something like that) my hot attic?
Answers:
Yes...it is safe to store your clothing in the attic in a Rubbermaid container. Consider this. You are able to put Rubbermaid in the microwave and it is esentially the same material so it would stand to say that you could put it in an attic that doesn't get near that hot! Also, as a side note...I store clothing in my attic in Rubbermaid containers and they are fine when I bring them down.
Other answers:
The attic doesn't get that hot, unless you live on the equator. I have stored plastic bags full of stuff in my attic with no worries. Just make sure you don't place your plastic boxes over and electrical wires. If you are storing in the attic, however, you may want to consider putting in a fabric softener sheet or moth balls in each container to keep the moths and bugs out.

look on the packaging and see if there are any temperatures or if it says heat resistant, if not, call the company public relations, there is usually a 1-800 #
