pour club soda on it generously, and then cover in salt, like a good layer over the entire stain, let it sit for 15 minutes, or until dry, and wipe away the salt with a brush or cloth, the salt soaks up the stain via the club soda

Depending on where you live you might be able to pick up something called soil love. It is only a few dollars but it is not everywhere. That stuff can get stains out of everything no matter what is on it. good luck.
