Best way to clean wooden window blinds without taking them down or having a residue left?
Answers:
Either the swifter handled duster or use a brush attachment from your vacuum. Also you can use a damp dust cloth. All methods are some what tedious due to the strings in the middle of the blinds. good luck.

If we are talking like planttion shutters, I find Swiffters work. Good luck.

use a swiffer duster, or try using baby whipes, thats what i use for mine
i like to lick them clean.. tastes great, plus its a huge turn-on!
(i have a wooden blind fetish...)
Use a bounce sheet for the clothes dryer.. Wipe each section with the dryer sheet and there shouldn't be any more dirt or dust.. It is time consuming but it works!
Try dusting them first with those duster things. Can't recall the name just now, but in the commercial, the woman is dancing around dusting her friends house or put some warm water a sunlight dish detergent in a bucket and use a soft cloth to wipe them down, then right after wiping with wet rag . use a dry clean rag to dry off the still damp. It's alot of work but it does the job.
omy omy i read the answers above and my sugestin would to use old odd ball socks , it sounds corkey , but dont toss them out save them they make great dust rags , lil kid wash cloths etc , make a solution of 1 gallon water to about 2 cap fulls of murphy oil soap ( its made to clean wood ) place the sock in the water ring out place the sock on your hand then wash one bind or louver at a time , with the sock u should beable to get both front and back section of blind , , then in a bucket of clear water place another sock to wipe off the the blind and if u dont want to use murphy oil soap u can just use hot tap water
