How do you get a grease stain out of shirts after its been washed?
Answers:
In the past I have put Tide on grease spots, rub it in carefully to make sure the whole spot inside and out was saturated and let it set for an hour or so, after a regular wash I check before sending it to the dryer. If there is still a bit of a grease mark left I put more tide on the spot and let it sit over night and wash it again in the morning. This has worked for me a couple of times when my husband has gotten fast food on his clothes and didn't tell me till after I already washed them. Good Luck.

It's a bummer when that happens.......done the same thing myself. You could try a lemon based washing up liquid and pretreat before a hot wash or try Vanish.

Stain stick and that magic eraiser stuff
Place brown paper over grease stain when ironing. Heat from the iron causes grease to soak into the brown paper. Only use brown paper!
Apply Dawn dishwashing liquid and let it absorb into the stain, then rewash.
the product "Greased Lightning", (used to be in a white/black/yellow spray bottle with a lighning bolt), can be found @ wal- mart etc. has worked wonders for me. Spray it let it set for a few minutes, NOT HOURS, use an old toothbrush to gently scrub. Amazing!
Drycleaning will always get grease and oil out of cloths.
If you cant dryclean, use dawn dish soap. This is what I always use on grease and oil if I dont want to take them to the drycleaners
Good Luck
A good degreaser. It can be simple green, 409, just something that is a de-greaser.
I had the same problem with one of my shirts after it had washed and dried. I used Carbona's stain remover for grease (little yellow bottle) and OxyClean (powder form). I put them both on the stain and made a kind of paste. I let the shirt sit with this solution on it for about an hour, then washed it. The stain is now gone. Carbona's makes different stain removers and they are in small yellow bottles in the laundry aisle.
Rub the spot with a bar of (wet) Zest soap
Simple..Shout it out...Shout is magic for "set" grease...Good luck!
