best way to clean greasy kitchen walls?
Answers:
I'd go with 409 or a Clorox spray. TSP may be overkill as it may damage some painted walls (use with caution and read the warnings on the label). I personally would go with 409 first. Do make sure you have some rubber gloves on if you are going to be working with any powerful cleaners.

Formula 409!
409
tsp is best - available in your local department store - mix with water - quite cheap also.
if the wall is white -- bleach
oven cleaner, it gets greese off of anything
i like clorox cleanup
Liquid cleanser. The powder cleanser can be too abrasive and remove paint from walls. Liquid cleanser works like a charm.
I swear by Mr Clean Magic Erasers! They are miracle workers and cheap! When I get one I go around my whole house like a crazy OCD victim scrubbing every little imperfection off the walls. I think if you go to the website you can even print a coupon for one.
Good luck!
hot water and wash-up liquid...it's designed to cut thru' grease
Have you tried Mr. Clean's Magic Sponges? They worked miracles on the walls on the stairwell at my home and on the walls in the kitchen. I'd recommend that you clean them with Mr. Clean Magic Sponge and then consider a new coat of paint or wall paper. If it's ceramic tile - the magic sponge is the best thing. No harsh chemicals to breathe in and give you a headache either!
Formula 409 works well but you need to spray it and let it sit for a few minutes before wiping.
Greased Lightneing, 409, mean green. Just spray either one of these on let set a min or so and wipe off. I would not use oven cleaner on my walls... It will take many finishes off....I even had oven cleaner take the paint off of a stove one time.....I was cleaning for someone else and the outside, sides of the stove was so bad I thought it would be safe to use and when I wiped it off, paint and all came off....
Good luck with your job
hot soapy water, a rag, and elbow grease. works everytime!
Tri sodium phosphate (TSP) in very hot water. By it in Home Depot or any hardware store. Follow instructions on the package. This stuff can remove anything if used in the right strength. Scrub with a brush, rinse with a cold water rag and it should be ok. If not, do it gain and agian until the grease comes off. Once or twice should do the trick.
Bleach does not cut grease. Don't listen to these know nothings. Ammonia cuts grease, start from the bottom and work your way up so you won't have streaks.
krud kutter, you can get it anywhere.
