When a self cleaning oven is working will or should it smoke up the house?
Answers: If you had some greasy mess inside, yes it will smoke. The self cleaning mode is basically the highest temp setting possible over a time of year of time. It is designed to literally burn anything left surrounded by there to crisp so you can of late scrape the ashes and sweep them out. Unless you really disappeared a lot of greasy stuff contained by there I would not be concerned beside some smoke.

However if you enjoy an abnormal amount of spills within there that can start. Next time either don't linger too long or wipe up the worst spills before starting the cleaning cycle. If you don't want to do those and your kitchen have an exhaust fan you might stipulation to keep that running.
Did you enjoy something spill on the bottom of the oven? This might be the problem.
If the oven is old and terribly dirty it will. Before turning it to self clean subsequent time, try to remove all the loose charcoil from the bottom.
This happen if you had a spill contained by the oven ,so before using the self verbs wipe the oil or grease sour with a daily towel or wet handkerchief. turn the fan on and you will be fine , manufacture sure that you take the racks out because the steam will turn them yellow if you don't.and save the light of your oven sour . While the oven is cleaning open the window if you can or just use a lover to circulate the air. Now I will tender you a tip on how to clean the grills/racks I win a large plastic pod and place the racks inside and I spray Off Oven Cleaner Fumes Free, close the bag and when your oven is done cleaning it self so are the racks,rinse surrounded by the sink and you are done . But whatever you do NEVER use an oven cleaner surrounded by a self cleaning oven ,it will be ruined . I love my oven it sure save me profoundly of work and I would never go spinal column to the old ways!
