How do you get the scent of mothballs out of clothes?
Answers:
Oh boy! lots of luck, my grannie used to smell like them all the time.

I don't know if this will work, but try washing the clothes with your regular clothes detergent and baking soda. If that doesn't work try putting vinegar in with the detergent. I've used the baking soda before and it took the odd smell out, it wasn't a moth ball smell though.

Try airing out the clothes first before washing them then wash only light loads each load with "Tide with bleach" and use a good fabric softener with a fresh scent. You might have to do this twice for each load but it will work for you as I've had this problem a few years ago but didn't have tide with bleach then. You could also add about half a cup to 1 whole cup of baking soda to each load along with the tide with bleach because the baking soda works wonders on every type of smell.
Good luck.
through them in the drier with fabric softener sheets
