Keep your home clean and keep fruit somewhere the bugs can't get to it. Eventually they'll die off. Also make sure you take out your garbage regularly.
bleach
insecticide like raid or black flag.
mix vinegar soap and water in like a vase and say bye bye to fruit flies
Leave out a glass of wine... they get drunk and drown. REALLY!
This is really weird, but it worked for me. One time I had a small fruit fly problem and they wouldn't go away. To my surprise, I left a glass of white wine in the kitchen and when I came back a few minutes later there were three swimming in the glass. I tried it again later and soon all the flies were dead. I swear, it works but only with white wine. Plus, no annoying insecticides!
Fly paper
In 24 hours your problem will have solved itself...they will be dead, assuming you haven't left any fruit or other foods out in the open. If you want them gone quicker, make sure anything delicate is covered, put all food away, and spray Lysol into the air. It's as good as a pesticide and not as dangerous. Then wash down your countertops, etc. with a mild soap to remove any Lysol overspray. It works.
hair spray works. just walk around with a can of hairspray, they drop like rocks.
Their life cycle is very rapid. They will die off quickly, so just don't leave anything they can lay eggs in to multiply. Obviously fruit and other moist areas.

That wine trick sounds pretty neat, too.
I had this problem once, and found that they were reproducing in the sink drain and I couldn't stop them! The trap I made consisted of putting some salsa in the bottom of a jar and making a funnel with paper that I put in the jar. Seal the edge with tape. The fruit flies will make their way down the funnel since they are attracted to the salsa, but they won't be able to get out. They can't fly out of the jar, only crawl to the edge. Since that is sealed, they are stuck! It took about 24 hours for the jar to be full and my house has been fruit fly free ever since!
