any ideas for cleaning a streaked mirror in a college dorm ?

Use windex, but wipe it with newspaper. I know it sounds crazy, but my husband showed me the trick on some windows that were streaked. (The streaks weren't from pledge, but it was some kind of wood cleaner.) Just wipe the windex off with the crumpled up newspaper instead of paper towels.

That mirror might have a build-up of cleaning products - try using straight vinegar - it's cheap and should cure the problem.

wow, pledge huh? well... my best advice would be to use a VERY small amount of nail polish remover... or any other alcohol based product and wipe it off... rinse with water... then, once its dry... use windex or window cleaner.
The mirror in my bathroom was dulled by years of morning farts, but i was able to clean it with rubbing alcohol, followed by water, then Windex.

Auuughhh, when someone streaks in front of a mirror, that image is in there forever. Nothing you can do will ever remove the memory of that sight. Best to just get a new mirror.

Use a damped cloth with a little bit of dish soap and than windex and newspaper. IT WORKS!
Try hot water with dish soap. you may have to go over it a few time and be sure to dry it off with clean towel or paper towel. for me, this has worked better than window cleaners and vinegar.
try washing with hot soapy dish detergent , then rince then use a mixture of hot water and vinager about 1/2 cup of vinager with a galon of hotwater , wash and then dry with a newspaper

Nonsense, wash the mirror with a fine steel wool pad. Rinse well and then clean with window cleaner.
