What's the best way to clean a watch's removable leather strap?

Know any methods that won't make the colors run/fade (it has 4 interchangeable straps of varying colors)? It got dirty from my wearing it all the time. Only the underside is leather, the right side is of different material (i.e. denim). Thanks :)

Answers:
I have used saddle soap on on all my leather watch bands. Not only does it clean but it also keeps the leather soft and preserves it longer. You can find it where shoe polish, etc. is sold or web search.

I would take a tooth brush and wash it with soap and water, then dry with a wash cloth, til damp, then put it outside in the warm sun to dry, or put it in the window, to catch the suns rays, so that it will naturally dry. I dont use blow dryers or things like that, as the heat will be too concentrated.

I wish you well..

The only thing that I can think of is, get some type of dry cleaning product from the grocery store. Then get some type of waterproofing product for leather. To help preserve the leather from the moisture of your body.
