How can that white deodorant buildup from the armpit areas of shirts be removed? No detergent seems to work.?
Answers:
Zout and hot water are really good. Zout is a pretreater. Let it soak in, then wash with detergent and hot water. Most of it will come out.
Other answers:
I got a better idea, use transparent deodorant

I believe disolving a little baking soda in water will do the trick.
White crusty buildup is not from deodorant. It is from anti-perspirant. When I learned this 20 years ago, I switched to using deodorant and the problem disappeared.

Deodorant stains:
Deodorant and antiperspirant stains may be removed from clothing by lightly rubbing with white distilled vinegar and laundering as usual.

It can sometimes be confusing as to whether that underarm or armpit stain is from perspiration or deodorant/antiperspirant. If the stain is yellow or green in color and has a crunchy or crispy texture, it’s due to perspiration. If the stain, however, is white or clear with a greasy texture, it’s due to the antiperspirant and should be treated as a grease stain with the appropriate solvent.

Did that bargain antiperspirant leave you with embarrassing white streaks on your button-down shirt or unsightly wet marks on your favorite blouse? No worries--you can usually remove these blights without too much effort.
Steps:
1. Act as soon as possible to minimize chemical staining. Sponge white vinegar on the underarm stains to loosen the buildup of the deodorant's aluminum chloride or zinc salts, which discolor and weaken fabric over time.
2. Soak stubborn stains overnight in an enzyme-containing laundry detergent.
3. Launder with your usual detergent and color-safe bleach in the warmest water safe for your garment.
Overall Tips:
Let your deodorant dry before dressing.

Antiperspirant/deodorant
What you need: white vinegar, enzyme detergent, liquid detergent
How to remove it: Soak the stain in white vinegar for 30 minutes. Then, launder the shirt in the warmest possible water for the type of fabric using an enzyme detergent like Wisk or Tide.
Another alternative is to rub a little liquid detergent on the stain, leave it for about 10 minutes, and wash the garment normally afterwards. Next time, wait for the antiperspirant to dry before dressing.
use a spray instead of the white deodorant. i used white before, it ruined my clothes.
spray and wash cleaner is the best.
