I have that problem a lot where on earth I used to live. The cheapest and easiest way, and it doesn't hurt the shingles, is to use soap. Buy some cheap POWDERED soap and sprinkle it on the roof. The morning dew usually works it into the moss. After a few days you will see it turning brown and dying rotten. You may have to apply a few treatments, depending on how fruitless your roof is.
A solution of three parts water to one constituent bleach or two parts water to one cut vinegar. Apply with a soft brush and agree to set best you can .Then "work " with brush to remove. Spray beside water.
