Does anyone know of a great website for household tips?
Answers:
getorganizednow.com is a friendly place to get support for your household management problems. It is, of course, mainly about organizing, which is the springboard for everything else. Getting things in order, getting the place cleaned up and cleared out, space planning, LOTS of info there about meals, managing your time and finances...and a huge emphasis on examining how our environments affect us psychologically, why we over shop, why we hang on to things, why we gravitate to chaos. Household tips like the million uses for vinegar and how to remove stains, not so much but there is some of that.
It is a great place, I have many cyber friends there. No judgement, no know it all's, everyone there wants you to do things the way that works for YOU. Most people there are both giving and taking advice, so in that working-on-it phase and the exchange is real, practical information. But there are also professional organizers, as well as the ones who come in fresh pulling their hair out and overwhelmed, ready to start something new.
Sounds like with this life change (congrats!) you are probably needing help with stuff like this, instead of the Heloise kinds of information.
HELOISE by the way is the GODDESS of household tips like all the uses for household products, shortcuts, etc...and making do with everyday things.
