throw it out!!!!
Nothing, keep cats out of room is my choice
wipe your gooch on it...that will cover up the urine smell nicely
oxy clean then put it in a closed room with an ozone generator for 24 hrs.
Burn the cushions.
Throw the couches out and get rid of the cats.
get a steam cleaner and use the attachments, use hot vinegar, it will neutralize the odor
try febreze
you need an enzyme killer>>> try vinegar
try getting them steamed cleaned sometimes that will help.. Otherwise you might have to reaplce them
nothing...they are ruined!

you have to get new ones and maybe a new cat
Pinesole for a quick fix until you can get a rug doctor. I had the same problem not long ago. My cat had surgery and peed all over the place on my couch and in my daughters bedroom. I soaked, and I mean SOAKED the area with pinesole. It was gross because the whole house smelled like it, but it took the pee smell away. I rented a rug doctor the next day and it is completely gone.

I'd wash the cousions at the big industrial machine at the launder mat because they smell it and say hey i am supposed to eliminate here. you need to eliminate their smell.
oust and fabreeze mix
I'm afraid it's a lost cause. In fact, unless you get rid of it, it will permiate the house. Good luck.
buy new ones duh
first you rinse it with water, then you put soap on it, and scrub. then you like step on it to get all of the water and soap up, and then spray it with febreze. works like a charm!
now that's just nasty.... spray some vinegar on them, it will offset the ammonia.. and get rid of the couch and the cats
try Ozium air cleanser it wont harm the fabric or anything but id read the label first, it isnt a cleaner perse' just an odor deterrent
Use a mixture of water and vinegar. Then i usually spray with Fabreeze. Take the cover off if you Can there should be a zipper in the back. If you can do that I cover my foam after it is dry with a garbage bag. Throw the cover in the wash and hang it to dry.
Try using ammonia if you can rinse them

Otherwise toss - keep your catlitter clean - get your cats fixed!
leave arm and hammer on your couch all day when you get home at nite and vacum it then spray fabrez it work i promise i have 3 cats my self and they always do this to me
good luck
Get new cushions for them. I don't think it is healthy to sit on that stuff.
the only thing is to restuff your cushions if you leave the stuffing inside the smell will never go away
odoban. you can get it from just about any retail store. works great on all kinds of odors. I use it alot on my bathroom tile floor in the grout. still can't figure out how males can miss that big hole.

Being "owned" by 14 cats at one time (now down to just 3) I feel your pain. Once one cat goes outside the litter box...the "pissing wars" are on (if you have 3 or more cats you know what I mean). Vinagar is really great to help remove the oily residue but wont help the smell much. Urine is a protien based stain, to break down protien use enzemes (a good laundery soap will have enzemes listed as one of the cleaning agents). Cat urine has very concentrated protiens which makes it harder(but not impossibe) to clean and remove the order. Most of the animal cleaning products cover the smell so WE cant smell it for a few days, a cat can smell 8 times what we can. It wont fool them.

Direction for cleaning and removing ALL ORDOR:
Step one: Pour on cleaner to completely staurate the urine (you want it soppy wet)Step two: Walk away!
Step Three: Stay away!!

Cleaning supplies:
Hydrigin Proxide (nothing eles) Test for color fastness.

If there is excessive urine (like I had) pour on proxied, let bubble and B L O T up excess and repeat, leave carpet WET, but while wet DO NOT rub, scrub, brush, sponge ect... this will streatch the carpet backing and leave puckers, SO LEAVE IT ALONE. The proxide containes lots of enzemes, if you leave them alone they will eat the protiens, the smelly part, then dry up and be gone forever...it is really that simple...
As for your cusions, remove cover if possible, pour proxied from inside cover over stain and hang so proxide will drip thuroug urine stain. may need to repeat as proxide will dry quicker not allowing enough time of enzemes to completly destroy protiens. As for the cusion part, put in tub, stain side down, pour proxide thourgh cusion, let drain, repeat, untill stain and smell are gone. This will also work on removing blood from clothing (even washed in stains, the protiens have attached to the fiber of the fabric, it will take an extra min. to start foaming) again do not rub, just pour on, let set, pour on more and throw in wash!
wash them
try febreze and then get rid of the cat. how often do you clean the litter box ,that could be a clue
