My tub has brown spots that I can't get rid of and other parts are plain white. How do i get rid of the brown?
Answers:
Soak the tub in bleach for about 12 hours. Make sure you clean it thoroughly afterward though!
Other answers:
try vinigar, or try scraping it off with a knife

Use Comet And Then Scrup It Off.
Soft scrub. You will have to put a LOT of elbow grease into it as well. I scrubbed (with all my weight) for 20 minutes and got mine out.
Don't use a knife, you will add silver colored streaks to your "still there" stain.
100% clorox kills mold, put it in a spray bottle, let it sit, then just rinse away...smell will go with it, dont spray anywhere you cant rinse!
A solution of baking soda, perhaps. Maybe, Vinegar. Some, cream of tartar.
Sounds like rust stains. Try CLR, you can buy it at Walmart.
There are products----(clr)--(limeaway)-... are just a few.
It could be dirt that has soaked in over time. Try bleach or colorox clean-up. Or CLR or Limeaway.
try filling the tub with hot water and then add clorox leave for 1/2 hr and then rinse good luck
Put some new caulking over the brown spots, and if that doesn't work get a whole new tub surround. You'll have a new tub in no time

Srub with ajax/comet rinse well. Fill tub 1/4 1/2 full with water and bleach. Will give a brighter and cleaner appearance.
CLR work really well on stains however if the surface of the "brown" feels rough then the problem may not be "stains" after all. If the clear coat for the enamel is going on your tub that would be the problem. We have that and the only way to fix it is to get a new tub. We are in Canada and at home depot you can get a plain 5 foot tub for $150 good luck.
Home Depot
Lowe's
have stain removal kits
If all else fails, add water to fill the tub and a lot of bleach. This will bleach out the brown spots if after you have tried all the other thing havent worked.
Or, try that cholox bleach pen, and get the gel on the brown spots and let it set and see if it will bleach the spots out.
I wish you well..

Use a cleaner designed to get rid of mineral deposits, such as Lime-Away, or use an abrasive cleanser called Zud for rust ( yes, it's a real product ).
