It's not just about the mess, cause every one knows when you have unexpected company every thing goes in the bedroom. The bedroom is private space and you close the door because it's yours.

Bedroom doors, especially in that situation should always be closed, no matter NEAT FREAK or not. The specifics of that room are personal and not to be open for uninvited public view, no matter if the bed is made or your boxers are at the foot of a bed.
An alternative might be if the bathroom access was only Via the bedroom, but even then the access door should be closed.

In my life i never let it happen i always cleaned my bedroom when i woke up in the morning i need to cleaned up first before i got out in my room.When friends are there i let them stay at the visitor's room take some coffee,reading news papers.I let them wait for a while ,while i am cleaning up my mess in bed.
