Answers:
Having lost a house myself, its near impossible to get that smell out,, if a cup of vinegar and tide with bleach won't,, then I sure hope you had insurance and can claim the clothing like we did.

Just launder as usual, the smell should come right out.
If the item can't be washed with water, there is this spray on stuff you can use to remove oders. I think the brand name is Febreze or something like that. Safeway has their own generic brand called "Fabric Refresher".
Use odo ban, it can be purchased at sams club, I used it after a fire and washed clothes and stuffed animals in it, you may have to wash twice, but it worked for me, some things will have to be drycleaned and your insurance should cover this expense.
We used baking soda on Curtains and furniture that had heavy smoke damage.
I haven't found anything that will get the smell out. Usually if it will not air out over a period of time, then throw it away.
3 things you can try:
1. Use white vinegar in the wash and final rinse.
2. Use a bottle of pure vanilla extract in the final rinse (small load, use 2 for large load)
3. Spray everything with a Febreeze type product (available at dollar stores for a buck.
