What is the best cleaning product to use to clean really dirty showers with?

Soft scrub or Scrubbing bubbles. I tried bleach but it doesn't work, no matter how long I let it soak in the tub.

Shower Power or Easy Off Bam, unless it's mouldy try Exit Mould. If you prefer more natural products try Vinegar, just needs a little more elbow grease
Clorox is probably best to kill all the germs. For Soap scum build up there is CLR or those Mr.Clean sponges. Once you get it clean, there is a new thing out to keep it that way. It is Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner.

Try the bathroom cleaner called "The Works." I've used it and it cleans everything. :o) It even took out hard water stains (rust and lime) without scrubbing! I love it. It smells horrible so open a window, but it gets the job done. :o)

Be really careful with CLorox. SO many other products used in the shower have ammonia in them,(like shampoo and body wash!) and you don't want to be creating ammonium chloride gas. It can kill you. If you use Clorox, rinse it very very well. You want to let the water run long enough to clean out the trap that's under the floor, to be sure all the bleach is out of there too.
To answer your question, I have found that the Scrubbing bubbles (there are several brands) work well. It might not get everything the first time if the shower is really scuzzy, but if you use the bubbles, and brush the shower or wipe with a sponge before rinsing, it will go a long way to getting all the ick off.
Any of them are as good as the others - it's all in how you use them. Spray down a dry shower with your cleaner of choice (I like Comet but it's hard to find) Let it sit for 5 minutes. While standing in the tub use a washcloth or a BLUE scrubbier sponge (the blue ones are non scratch and a perfect for fiberglass or plastic surrounds) to scrub away the stains. Rinse well.
