When your husband is in the shower, hand him a sponge and some cleaner and tell him to clean the shower while he's in there!

Other answers:
Have a dirty microwave, no problem. Just squeeze some lemon or lime juice, even vinegar works, anyways squeeze into a small dish, add a splash of water and heat for about 1 minute or so until bubbling then let sit for a minute or two then remove dish and wipe out. Voila, you have a clean and fresh smelling microwave. No scrubbing at all.

Now, my house keeps itself clean! no joke.
clean as you go. don't let things 'pile up'!
I used to hire cleaning ladies and found out that they used lots of paper towels and cleaning products. So I thought I could do the same to save $95 a month. Now I use paper towel to clean my bathroom and kitchen right after the use. It doesn't take much time, but it saves me money and keeps my bathroom clean all the time.
My favorite tip is when you have a baking dish or pot that has food baked on the sides and bottom fill it with hot water and put a fabric softener sheet in it. Let soak for a few minutes and enjoy the scent. Then wipe it clean with the fabric sheet.
Greased Lightning is the best I've ever come across and I'm no youngster. It cleans just about everything and if it's a tough clean, spray it on wait 10 to 15 minutes and it all comes up.
Yes FlyLady does Rock! I just found her site the other day and already I see I have changed!!
Use powder form **** n Span. It is Great and cleans so thouroughly. Can use it on everything and actually leaves a shine. It is hard to find in the stores, usually at the hardware stores. It comes in a box.
Use the camper's / hiker's rule of thumb: Leave it better than you found it. Before you leave a room, pick something up and put it away or take a towel and wipe something down. Your home will never get dirty and you will never feel like you're actually working.

I would have to say what a few other people said, flylady.net
and I think the big thing is clutter, if it clutters your house, it also clutters your mind.
One more thing, everyone needs a timer and set it for 15 minutes, at the end of 15 minutes go on to something else, it is amazing what you can do in such little time.
Keep things clean daily. Then it's not such a big job on your cleaning days!
Cleaning products can be expensive so if you are on a really small budget try this: Add to 1 gallon of water: 1 cup vinegar, 1/2 cup ammonia and 1/4 cup of baking soda. It will clean just about anything and is really cheap!
