Is there a "cool" or "low heat" setting on the washers and dryers? If so, try that. If not, look around for another laundromat, normally there's like 10 that you never even noticed existed. Or you can also call the laundromat owner and ask what he/she suggests, or you can make a suggestion for updated appliances that feature such choices. Make sure to mention that they would make more money that way, although be careful because they might end up charging a little more to cover the costs of the new appliances. Also, make sure to read tags, many types of fabrics (polyester, etc) don't shrink no matter what they are washed in. you just need to be a little more careful with cotton clothing. Good luck!

Wash in cold water and hang dry if you are that worried about shrinkage.
wash them regularly..then let them dry half way then put them in your bag or whatever you took them in and take them home half dry/ half wet ....they don't shrink.

Most people don't realize the laundromat dryers are commercial and get hotter than home dryers.
COLD WATER is the answer. COLD WATER is the Answer. Do not dry them using HOT HEAT either or you will be shrinking them badly !
