A dog urinated on my asian rug, which is made of wool and silk. Any suggestions for stain and order removal?

I have tried baking soda and febreeze. I don't want to damage the carpet but the smell is still there.

I agree with "new england", take it to a professional, but if not, try Nature's Miracle, can get it at Petsmart or similar pet supply stores, it's great stuff!

If you can, take the rug to a dry cleaning establishment that specializes in cleaning rugs. That's the absolute best way to restore your rug.

Try some of that Urine Gone from TV. Also at Walmart they used to (still might) carry this product called Nursery Stain/Odor Remover (or something like that) in the baby department. It's a white bottle with pink writing on it.
Unfortunately the odor has penetrated into the fibers of the rug. There are professional rug cleaners that will come out to your home and try to remove it,but they will not guarentee results.
Spot Shot might work, but I'd read the bottle very close before I put it on an expensive rug.
Get rid of the dog and buy a new rug.
