what is the best way to remove the brown rings of stains in the bath and toilet?
Answers:
I agree with using SNOBOL for the toilet. You cant use it where it will touch metal though because it will ruin the finish. Snobol really get's a white toilet bowl white again.
If the brown stains are from rust and it's in a sink or bathtub you can try using half a lemon and scrubbing with it using some cream or tarter or baking soda which will not harm finishes but will give some scrubby to the lemon. Lemon works on rust. Bleach will set rust stains so avoid using it where you have a problem with rust.

Try SnoBol or Bleach, but not together. Use one first then try the other. My mother swears by Bleach.

I just read this on queenofclean.com, and she says to use orange Tang.
A bleach solution or a scouring powder what contains bleach.
In toilet get a strong tiolet bowl cleaner and one of those funky toilet brushes and scrub away, Might look into vinegar, not sure how good that is on the toilet tho.
Baking soda and vinegar - apply the baking soda first, then pour vinegar on - scrub immediately.
Bleach will work too, but as it's toxin, do you really want it in your bathtub?
Bleach does real well.
scrubbing bubbles works great for me!
The old recipe what my grandmother use vinegar and salt apply and scrub the toilet, tub or sink, leave the 10-15 min to work, scrub and rinse.
Comet or Ktchup (seriously) let it set then rinse.
Thunder Blast, and sprinkle with comet with Bleach, if this does not work. Try THE WORKS, you can find all of these in almost any dollar or discount store like Fred's or Wal-mart.
