why does the house get messed up so quick after you cleaned it?

and how come you never get any visitors on the day you have cleaned like mad, but when you dont they turn up? and do you enjoy cleaning? what makes you enjoy it?

Answers:
I hate cleaning, especially when it you just cleaned it, and then it looks still dirty. Everybody turns up when the house is a mess, and when you clean it noone turns up. I often find as your cleaning/tidying in front of you, someone is always making it messy and dirty behind you.

And why does everyone elses house looking cleaner and nicer than yours?

Other answers:
i always have a clean house
i always have a clean house
Its sods law that when you dont clean people come round. And NOONE HAS EVER ENJOYED CLEANING. NOT EVEN THE PEOPLE THAT GET PAID FOR IT. it should be one of lifes seven deadly sins.
CUZ IT"S MADE TO BE LIVED IN & ENJOYED
I would like to know why that is myself. I clean one day, and the next it looks like a herd of elephants was in my house. I have only one teenage son, my fiance, and myself there. I think little elves come in at night or something. I don't hate cleaning, but it cuts into my time, especially with work and all.
I DO NOT enjoy cleaning...but I do it anyway.
Good exercise. And I keep doing it because I hate a messy house and I am trying to teach my 2 children to pick up after themselves. LOL. I wish I could just hire a maid!! LOL
Imagine how I felt this morning when I had three coppers sat in my lounge and I hadn't done my housework for the day, I had babies toys on the floor, his breakfast plate still on the high chair, ironing on the sofa.....I wanted the ground to swallow me up!

I only enjoy cleaning if I have a good CD on and no one around to get under my feet, but as you said it never stays clean for long!

(By the way I wasn't in trouble with the police, our van was broken into three weeks ago, and they have just come round to talk about it!)
i take it you've got kids then???
lol..definetely true. when it's clean nobody come around, it's dirty people show up unexpectedly. i guess we should strive to have it somewhat clean throughout the week. it won't be spotless, but at least u won't look like a slob.
i actually enjoy cleaning - although i don't think anything will ever make me enjoy cleaning the shower and bath. i usually get into this kind of trance..lol put some good music on-really loud :-) the trick is to have a couple of breaks in between all the cleaning...otherwise you''ll get hungry, thirsty, just plain old tired and sit down and not want to get up.. :-)
I love keeping house clean. it makes me feel so good, relaxing and flesh. also i like to be ready for visitors always. while i'm cleaning i don't think about cleaning, thinking about something else... or completely nothing. just concentrate. i just like watching/feeling it's getting clean.
my worst enemy is my husband. and he leave everything everywhere. i tell him to put stuffs back where they were!!
now he try not to make a mess. haha...
In my case it used to get messed up quickly because I have four teenage sons with lots of friends who like to hang out here.
All my sons have chores and they all know how to do every possible household task, basic maintenance and they're excellent cooks. When things got messy, I didn't say a word. I waited patiently for them to ask me for something... money... a ride or the loan of one of the cars... and I responded "Sure, I'd be happy to ____________ as soon as you ____________. At that point it got done in a hurry. Now messes don't pile up very often and when they do, even their friends pitch in. My personal favorite is obsessive compulsive darling who tipped over a foil covered bowl of soup that was in the fridge. He not only cleaned up the spill, but he didn't stop until he tossed every expired condiment and re-organized the whole thing. *L*

I actually enjoy some cleaning tasks. Usually the ones where you can see immediate results... like dusting... instant gratification. *L* However, I loath cleaning the oven. Probably because I'm often the one who put in something that boiled over.

I've solved the problem of guests showing up unannounced when the house is a mess. One of my chores is the front entry, which requires little upkeep. I used to wonder why my grandmother had a room she never allowed us to play in. Now I know! I keep the small den off the front entry a kid free zone so that I can usher guests into it and alert the kids to quickly clean up the kitchen or living room or whatever. I'd like to think those mad dashes are teaching them to clean as they go, but frankly, I'm not sure I've gotten the hang of that one yet. *L*
answers to all your questions in order...

a)kids, kids, kids
b)I think people know you've been too busy clean because of your other daily activities
c)yes
d)the fresh smell of a clean bathroom.
coz you pick stuff up and throw it behind you and when you turn around its messy again.
Try making everyone clear up after themselves! My kids started putting their own toys away as soon as they could walk, and put their laundry away when they could open the drawers etc. It makes a difference, and also you are more respected because they dont think you are just their to pick up after everyone----youre NOT!!! I dont mind cleaning, but I live alone, and if I dont want to do it, I dont!! If the placei s a mess, I did it, so I shift it....but not because its fun!
it just does .............. and how annoying
