What is the best brand of washer and dryers and why?

I am quite happy with our Bosch stackable
Take up very little real estate, very quiet, Energy Star energy efficient, extremely gentle on clothes. However, they are probably NOT a good choice for a large family, due to the volume they can handle.

I am not sure, but I have a G E Washer I bought used because my new Frigidare broke down in one year, and it just keeps going, had another that was the same way also used. So when this old baby goes, it will be a GE. Just hope they have not cheapened them.

Miele, this stuff is solid, economical to use but not the cheapest to buy of course (good never is) and is reliable.. buy it if you're thinking of it as an investment and not as an expense.
Maytag! I have a front load it is Great
My mom has had one for Almost 30 years and hasn't had to do anything to it!

I had Whirlpool washer and dryer for 17 years without a repair bill. They both died at once. I just called Lowes to send me another pair. They are great!
