Exercise clothes are "foamy" - what cause this?

My husband is training for a marathon and I procure to wash his exercise clothes. Occasionally when he runs at hand is a "foam" running down from his clothes - what causes this?
(I use Tide and Downy - I do not double rinse.)

Answers:    Sweat, saline, body oils.....:)
Liquid downey should clutch care of the excess detergent contained by the clothing. Maybe you should try double rinsing and see if that helps?
I would rewash them. It also nouns as if they aren't rinsing well. Don't over nouns the washer and dryer.
