Any ideas on how to remove red clay from a cotton uniform?

Answers:
the clay itself should dissolve in a strong solution of detergent and water, or with any laundry pre-treater such as Shout. If it leaves a red stain behind, do not wash in hot water, as that may set the stain further.

Since the material is a uniform, it's probably tough enough for laundry bleach without losing it's color. You could test an small, diluted amount on an inconspicuous place like a shirt hem and see if the material is colorfast. If the color runs, you can try an oxygen (peroxide) bleach like Snowy.

Try the sane method as you would to remove rusted iron
Try Iron Out, uniform in it then run thru the washing machine, Lestoil is also good at removing stains. Pre treat then wash in the Lestiol.
