how can you remove the smell of transmission fluid out of your car?
Answers:
You'll have to take the carpeting out of the trunk, and give it a really good, thorough cleaning. Lots of soap, warm water, maybe even a little bleach (but not too much), might have to do it a couple of times. Letting it air out after each cleaning. Wipe the bottom of the trunk up while the carpet's out.
Other answers:
Try mixing one part each: Mineral spirits, Dawn dish soap, and water. Use it in a spray bottle and scrub while vacuuming. The mineral spirits will cut the grease in the transmission fluid. My mom details cars and you would not believe what this will get out. The smell of the mineral spirits goes away and isn't a problem.
