How do I get rid of that awful burnt smell in my dishwasher?
Answers:
Yeah run your dishwasher empty and fill both cups with arm and hammer. First carefully with the dishwasher unplugged or turn the circuit off, scrub gently That thing that gets really hot(Heating Element {That's what dries the dishes}) with dry steel wool (fine) so that you get all the melted stuff off, otherwise your just going to keep remelting it every time you run the dishwasher. You should also make sure (It's a gross job) that the bottom of the machine is clean from all particles(where the water drains out) After you run through the wash cycles open it up to see how it smells and check for more particles you shouldn't let the dry cycle run if it has junk on it Good Luck Its not a fun job Next time you want to wash something like that put it in the silver wear compartment and put a knife on top, the water pressure is pretty powerful that's what helps clean the dishes. Also some people that I know didn't realize that in a dishwasher its the same water running through each wash cycle like a washing machine SORRY I WROTE SOME MUCH
