The temperature of your water doesn't make a difference, but as long as you hang dry you'll be fine.If you care how you look in your clothes, than learn how to care for your clothes. I clean my

Hand wash and Hang dry
You should wash it in cold water, inside out and make sure not to dry it in the dryer...or you could just dryclean it.
wash in cold using downey liquid in the rinse cycle then pop it into the dryer for like 3 to 4 minutes pull it out and reshape it while it is hot and still wet, then hang it up to dry. For clothes with material that shrinks and gathers up at the seams just slightly pull the seams straight during time. Never dry all the way. By doing it this way it keeps you from having to iron later.
wash it in the washer, then put it on a line out in the sun.
Wash in cold water, gentle cycle....don't agitate much. Rinse with fab softener. Put in the dryer a few min, then lay flat on a large towel, or If you have a rack for your dryer. Don't cremate it in the dryer!! For a zipper problem, try a damp towel over the zipper and iron flat. Works for me.
Wash them in cold water, and hang them up to dry. Never put shrinkable material in the dryer.
Fill a bucket or sink with cold water, pour in 1 cup of salt. Stir to dissolve, put clothing in salt solution. Make sure clothes are soaked with solution. Let set over night, wring out and wash as usual. I do this with all new clothing of any kind, even socks and panties. For some reason they will never shrink and they last a lot long and it also locks in the colors. Reds will never fade. It is amazing.
Wash your hoodie in cool water and Woolite - the fabric content doesn't need to be wool - any knit does better in Woolite.

Then blot it damp/dry in a fluffy towel and lay it on another fluffy towel to dry - arrange it on the towel in the form that you want it to dry in. If the cuffs, bottom or zipper look like they are 'pulling' a bit, give them a tug or two.

And about the crinkled zipper.... lay it flat on an ironing board and moisten the heavy tape on either side of the zipper; then use an iron to flatten the whole thing while tugging gently on the ends of the zipper. This should make it look at least presentable.
