If the package claims it lasts for 4 months or 2000 flushes why does mine only last 2 weeks. Im single and never home so the toilet never gets used, so what am I doing wrong? And yes im putting it in the tank and not the bowl

You also need to make sure the cake is not close to the fill tube where the water will hit it directly . put it on the opposite side of the tank that the water comes in.
