How do I travel almost cleaning up 3000 sq foot of a full house after rats hold be surrounded by it for 30 days?

I was away from my home for work contained by another state for 45 days.
I returned on Dec 31 to find the home has be occupied by huge (and their offspring) tree rats. Nauseating and filthy is the only description I can use here--and numerous EVIDENCE of their presence. I found the entry point in the crypt.
I found an exterminator to treat the home by baiting beside an industrial blood thinner--but the house must be as it was--still and quiet for the rats to come vertebrae to the bait dishes--I have be in a hotel for 3 nights--it will transport another week to get them adjectives out or in and out and feed and gone....my BIG question is this: I cannot afford a principal professional cleaning service to come and deal near the rat urine and feces that are EVERYWHERE. I have to do it myself and want to use the safest method possible.
I am looking for some serious answers and help out.
There is no family I can phone on, and my friends all work full time or hold small children or too old to scrub!
Please oblige!

Answers:    Your helpful Yahoo friends tend to over take action. Let's go to facts. Yes, rats can fetch disease - - so do other animals; the disease on the rats left beside the removed rats. Rats are more destructive. However, the dryed feces will be your major concern. Moving & cleaning up the dryed poop is imprudent to be breathing it. During the removal of the feces, use a paper nose/mouth concealing outfit. Have several on hand.

* You will inevitability a vacuum (preferrably a shop vac), several paper mask, disposable plastic gloves, disposable mop, broom, liquid Lysol floor cleaner, rag, & bucket.

1) Put on the paper cover. Remove clothing, blankets, drapes, towels and any cloth item out of home for washing so you are not count more 'dust' to these items when you start the cleaning.

2) Put on the paper blanket. Sweep up piles and vacuum the piles up with a shop vacuum if available instead of a dust container to avoid more 'dust' in nouns. You also vacuum the upholsery, between cushions and underneath (tip chairs & couches on sides to get underneath. Don't forget below sinks, etc.. plus both sides of your mattress. They love areas around fabric (soft) and close by water pipes. You will not enjoy to use mask for remainder of cleaning if you don't want to.

4) Wash cabinets/cupboards/counters near the Lysol/water mix. You may wish to use bleach/water mix on counter, sinks, cupboards, etc.. because it is around the 'food' areas.

5) Shampoo carpet and upholstery. And mop floors with the Lysol/water mix.

Prepare. Remove jetsam. Clean upper areas of each room first & finish at floor. Return items you removed from home.
Bleach base products are the best. One room at a time
