What kind of bleach should I use for this hard-to-remove stain?
Perhaps I should get a bleach product? Which should I buy? Clorox 2 Bleach for Colors, Clorox Regular-Bleach, Clorox Bleach Pen Gel, or Tide with Bleach Alternative?
I'm not absolutely sure what kind of stain it is, but I think it should be a food stain (coffee, tea, or something like that).
The care label says "Non-Chlorine Bleach", but I thought you could use chlorine bleach on something that's all-white 100% cotton? It's really confusing.
Any help is appreciated!
Answers:
Have you tried any of the stain remover products, such as Shout or the OxiClean spray? I find when the two are used in conjunction, an unimaginable cleaning power is unleashed. They got these grease stains which had survived several washes out of my favorite tank top.

You can use a tiny bit of chlorine bleach, but disolve it in water first. Try clorox.
have you tried Oxi-Clean...it's safe for white and colors.. give it a try it does wonder for stubborn stain.
Tea and coffee stains are difficult to remove, especially after they have "set", which this one has if you have already washed and dried the top.
Be careful with the bleach on cotton. It may leave a yellow spot on your top. Test in an inconspicuous area first. I would not use bleach.
There are a variety of suggestions for stain removal at these links. I hope one of them works for you. Best of luck with it.
try borax
The pen works well, but only if you apply and wash right away. If you leave it sit it will stain yellow.
You can Spray and wash(with the Oxy-Clean) that has gotten a lot of my stains out(I have four kids). Or try the aerosol can of Shout(my friend sometimes uses that on stubborn stains) she also uses Tide with bleach. Pours it on the stain and then scrubs it. You can also use the bleach, just add some water to dilute it. Chlorine bleach is all bleaches(except the color safe bleaches) it eats your clothes away. That's why your underwear and socks always get holes in them so fast.
Your stain may have set, after reading you have washed it twice hopefully you didn't dry it. If it has set then it may be near impossible to get out. Hope you do though. Hope all your suggestions help you.
i love using the clorox bleach pen just put alittle on the stain and wash as normal usually comes out after one washing. it does well on formula stains and red mud
Sometimes bleach turns whites yellowish. You say its an Ann Taylor shirt. Ann Taylor isn't cheap, therefore if you can afford the shirt you can afford to take it to the cleaners and let them worry about doing it right. I would not put straight bleach on it. You don't want a hole in shirt. Non Chlorine bleach is like Biz or Clorox 2.
Try hydrogen peroxide.............DO NOT use any amount of Chlorine Bleach!!
No Chlorien Bleach!
Check your local hardware store for a product called "Goof Off". It is amazing.
i think you need to get some woolite
