how can i take the bad smell of sweat in tshirts??
Answers:
Soak them in vinegar.
If you've already put them in the dryer it may be too late.
When I get home from the gym I spray the armpits of my t-shirts with a solution of half vinegar and half water that I keep in a spray bottle. My t-shirts don't stink.
I don't use antiperspirant and I use a "natural" deoderant.
Other answers:
vinegar rinse

Go to the grocery and buy "borax" it will freshen the clothes but not hurt them in anyway.

ive used Oxy-clean with my detergent--its found in the same isle as the detergents usually, and if you can wash the garment in hot water that may help,
color safe bleach or white vinegar followed by two extra rinses.
ALL THOSE ANSWERS R GREAT BUT ........FEBREEZE
IS ALSO GREAT
hand scrub it a lot and realy hard
then put it in the washer again and if that dosent work then soak it in water with the best smelling detergent.
or get a new one.
I seems funny to add something smelly to your laundry to make it smell better, but it works. To your regular detergent add about 1C. ammonia (not the sudsing kind), but do not add any bleach. The ammonia will help break down the body oils still left in the clothing. I used to work at a grill and my jeans would start smelling like rancid grease after a while. Adding ammonia to the wash got out all those nasty smells.
My husband sweats like a pig when doing any yard work and some times at his job.
I have found that if I wash his clothes in Era with a scoop of Clorox II powder and I also add some Snuggle fabric softener to the load. I do not have to double wash the clothes and if some of my things get in there with his, they all come out smelling fresh.
Give it a try.
Wash your clothes with your usual detergent, but pour a cup of distilled vinegar in with the soap as the tub is filling with water. This will not harm the clothes and/or color but should get that nasty smell out.
try baking soda.
you can get the arm and hamer laundry soap with the odor neutralizer but my boyfriend uses a bit of baking soda sprinkled in at the start of the wash cycle and it works really well. he used to work at a soybean refinery and that smells worse that anything i ever dealt with but the baking soda took care of it
if you have spray n wash or something like that, spray the hell out of the arm pit area. also, pour a small amt of your detergent onto the area, rub it in and then let the wash cycle sit for awhile before it spins out. i have done this to clothes that have sit in storage for months and had a mildew smell to them.
Try using oxiclean with your detergent and the smell should go away after the when the rinse is on put downey in your washer unless you have a insert to put your softner when you first start your machine...
Add some baking soday to your regular detergent...... it will help clean your shirts much better plus it will soften the water and take the odor out of the material....Hope this helps.......
