How do you get the smell of urine out of a ceramic tile floor?
Answers:
My mom and I swear by white vinegar. If you can stand the smell, let it set for at least 24 hours, then clean as you normally would. Another benefit: it's non-chemical.
Other answers:
try bleach
try bleach
Defecate on the inflicted area. This will overpower the scent.
scrub it with bleach and water, repeat this process.
try one of the pet products they use for carpets etc, although if the ceramic tiled floor is intact, it should not have absorbed the urine, as the glaze will have prevented that. It may be just surface, in that case get the Lysol Concentrate and mix up a double strength solution.
If it has soaked into the grout, then the only real way would be to use a diamond blade and cut the old grout out and re-grout it, this use at least 2 coats 'TileLab SurfaceGard Penetrating Sealer' this repels dirt, oil based and water based stains, and is guaranteed for 20 years, then you will not have that problem again
The smell is most likely not in the tile, but in the grout. Take some white vinegar and a tooth brush, get down there and scrub the vinegar into to the grout, let it sit for six or more hours and then get down and scrub the area with soapy water to remove the vinegar.
Personally I would follw that with a witch hazel and peppermint oil scrubbing.
Reseal your grout in the enire tiled area so you don't have this happen again.
good luck
long ago in another lifetime, i had a gal pal with ceramic counter top. she laid down a white towel over the stains which was soaked with bleach. she let it stand until stain was gone. the vinegar idea is good too because, you know, vinegar pickles things
bleach will work then cleanwith regular soap nah i wont say it!!
Just use hot water and white vinegar. also it doesn't leave streaks
