Other answers:
For cheapest new appliances, call around and find out who has a scratches and dents department. That's where they sell items that have been slightly damaged but still work just fine and are still covered by all warranties.
We were going to buy the cheapest washer at Sears one time. The salesman tried to talk us into a more expensive model, but I told him we could only afford the cheaper one, and he took us over to scratches and dents, and we got a top of the line washer for about the same price as the cheapest. It lasted 15 years, too!

STOP IT!
Go to your public library.
Ask the reference librarian for Consumer Reports issue involving Washers.
Consumer Reports will tell you which models are best buy and which ones to avoid.
Now, if you don't care about buying a good washer just a cheap one, you should try h.h.gregg or Sears (you have a better chance with warranty issues).
Go for quality, not cheap.
