I was trying to boil clean some castor oil saturated muslin cloth and thought I'd turned the stove off before I left the apartment, but inadvertently turned it up instead. It burned for I don't know how long and the smoke caused neighbors to alert the fire department. The stink is overwhelming. I'm using white vinegar in an open bucket, but so far it isn't working.
