Shrinking a sweater?

I want to shrink this sweater i found at my house. It is like one size to big for me. Its a short time ago a normal pullover sweater.(like a sweater beside hood, but no hood) Its fifty percent cotton, fifty percent polyester. Will this shrink good?


Answers:    Try the hot dampen, and dry it on hot as well. Keep an eye on it, though, so it doesn't winding up up fitting a cabbage patch doll! haha
My all cotton sweaters stretch out respectively time I wear them, and then shrink rear legs when washed contained by warm sea and dried in a dryer. The more polyester the smaller amount something should shrink. You could try hot water but nearby is no guarantee how much shrinkage you would get, or if it would raison d`¨ētre the garment to be misshapen.
