Am I being paid a fair amount to do someone's laundry?
Answers:
Since it probably costs about $10 to do the laundry, he is paying you about $10 per hour to wash and iron. You are probably doing your own laundry at the same time, so you are actually spending about 2.5 - 3 hours extra on his laundry. So $13 an hour tax free seems like a good deal.

That is very good money for temporary work that you don't have to report or pay taxes on. I would love an extra $200.00 per month for just doing a little laundry.

So that is $10 to $12.50 per hr I would make him supply the soap
Well I wouldnt do some other guys wash unless I was married to them, but whatever. I would make a chart on how much you would charge for each like:
Wash/Dry: whatever ur price is
Ironing: whatever ur price is
And if u use your powder or not.
How much do u think u should get?
How well do u know this person?
2 loads is ok. I wouldn't do any ironing, but that's just me..
just thiunk if you had 10 deals like this, you'd be making 500 a week!
I think it sounds pretty fair.
Put your price up $10 if he wants ironing. Cut the price by $10 if he does his own ironing. Have the roommate buy his own detergent. Either way you win.
Funny how I'm asuming your roommate is male......
