I think I know the "fake Formica" stuff that you are talking about, and I think you may have to count your losses. Is there some way to replace the piece of counter top that is bleached? Or, just before moving, why not ask the landlord if it would be okay with him if you tried bleaching the whole counter top before moving to see if you can get it to even in. If he settled for fake Formica in the first place, you may want to check out the price and consider offering to replace the counter top. It may be less than leaving the whole security deposit.

Or, he may not notice....

Try tooth paste on it.
I don't know. I have the same problem.
Would something like baking soda help? Just make a paste with it.

TRY GETTING A BRAND OF AJAX, WHITE POWDER KIND AND MAKE A PASTE OF IT WITH A LITTLE WATER AND COVER THE STAIN. LET IT SIT UNTIL THE STAIN IS GONE. CAN REPEAT IF NECESSARY.I HAD THE SAME CHEAP KIND OF COUNTER TOPS AND THEY SUCKED! I WOULD GET GROCERY BAGS THAT WOULD LEAVE THE DYED IMPRINT OF THE STORE NAME ON THE COUNTER IF IT WAS WET. I USED THE AJAX TRICK AND IT WORKED EVERYTIME.
Try soaking a rag in bleach. Put the rag over the spot and let it sit for a while. Come back while it is still wet and you should be able to get the stain out.
Try a colour remover or a product called Iron Out.
try CLR. IT WORKS
put some newspaper over it.lol
I know that yellow stains can be removed by bleaching water, but bleaching water made a yellow stain....this is something new for me.....
buy some BAR KEEPERS FRIEND it's like comet. follow the directions. that stuff is the bomb it cleans anything!
Comet powdered cleanser - same as Ajax
Replace the material.
well..... you could paint the counter to its original color..or if it was a granite counter u hav to furnish it again,or buy a new one.
That is a permanent stain. The counter top will have to be replaced.
What color is the counter top? If it is anything other than white, it sounds like the bleach took out the color. If so, that is permanent. The only thing you could do is try to recolor the bleached area, or replace the material.
on formica the stain is pretty much permanent...
what you can do is cut a piece that is well out of view and glue it and smooth it out or paint it in to match...

another trick is to make a photo print of a good spot and place it over the stain and then add a clear sealant over it
you must us boiling water or steam
Use hairspray to deactivate the stain. Oxi-clean products will help. One of the best items I ever purchased is a steamer (appliance). You can get them at Walgreens.
