How can I get black hair dye out carpet?
Answers:
Black hair dye is a bit hard, cuz its exactly that, dye.. however, ive seen using just regular distilled water take Red dye and purple paint out of a light colored carpet.. get yourself a jug of distilled water (its gotta be distilled, not spring, tap or drinking water) and pour it over the spot.. totally saturate the area with the water.. then get a towel that you dont mind ruining (the dye is going to transfer from the carpet to the towel) and lay that on top of the water.. wait about 30 minutes, resaturate the area with the water, flip the towel over and again place it on the spot for 30 minutes..each time you do this, the spot will get lighter in color.. repeat as necessary.

oxyclean - its not a bleach, so safe for carpeting
Blot first. Don't spread the dye around. Don't make the mistake of adding water or soap to the equation. You'll spread the dye. Get some color stripper for hair and apply with a Q-tip or child's toothbrush. Use a tissue or paper towel to squeeze the stripper out every 5 minutes to check for color, reapplying until the dye is removed from the carpet or greatly lightened. Once the dye is as out as it's going to get, rinse carpet section with soap and water to remove the color stripper residue.
I don't think you can. I once got brown hair dye on seafoam green carpet. I had it steam cleaned several different times afterward and even had the guy pretreat the stain each time. It faded somewhat but never came completely out.
