How do you win a Sharpie pen stain out of a white cotton sweatshirt?

So my white sweatshirt got black sharpie sign stain on it as someone who used the dryer before me forgot to check their pockets and the sharpie leak, and got onto my sweatshirt.
Do you know any approach to get it out?
I tried "shout gel" and that have some effects but it is still visible. its something like a 1"x1" mark and Im going to try bleach soon, but do you hold any other ideas?

Answers:    Try some rubbing alcohol...
Try hairspray. It works really good at getting ink out. But if your shirt have been dried, it might not do the trick. Doesn't hurt to try!
