How should I do my laundry so my black clothes stay black and don't fade to grey or blue?

Answers:
Use detergent like Cheer Dark or Woolite Dark
Wash all dark clothes together.
Make sure it is on cold wash and rinse.
Wash on the delicate cycle.
Dry on the delicate cycle.
Also, you can turn dark items like jeans inside-out when washing.

Did you know that cleaners were originally called dyers/cleaners and clothes were re-dyed rather than cleaned?
I've kept all my blacks, and there's a lot of them, pristine this way.

Other answers:
Put them on a cooler wash (40).
Put them on a cooler wash (40).
use colorstay detergent
wash seperately!
wash and dry it inside out and only in shade. Avoid mixing with other clothes while washing and avoid using bleaches
that will do

can i be best
Don't wash them on too hot a cycle... 40 is fine... and use non-biological washing detergent.
if you hang them on a line in the sun, hang them inside out, cool wash wash whites separate to colours
buy better quality clothes and then read the instructions on how to wash them , never dry clothes directly in the sun or they fade and remember , clothes have life just like u so expect them to fade away at some point of time .
use cooler water, cold if you can, and use a free soap, like cheer free or tide free with color guard. turn inside out, dry til almost done, still damp and hang to dry.
the hot water in the wash bleeds the dye out,
the hot air and tumbling action of the dryer cause small tears and pulls on the surface of the fabric turned out. those little broken threads make it appear faded faster
