Would it be possible to get a rust stain out of a piece of granite that was caused by a cast iron skillet?

My husband set an iron skillette on my new piece of granite over night by the sink. Water from the sink formed under the pan and I picked up the pan this morrning and there was a rust ring. The actual rust wiped up ,but there is now a light discolored ring where the pan was setting. This granite has been sealed properly and is a color called Uba - Tuba. Any suggestions will help. Thanks

Call the place where you bought the counter top and ask for their advice. Nothing corrosive I would think.

Did you try an SOS pad? Many swear by them. I use ham fat to remove rust from old iron skillets that I find.

pour a little straight bleach on it... I have had this happen before and it came right off. You can actually watch the stain disappear. Becareful not to get the bleach on your clothing. It can bleach the color out and leave a hole in it. Use an old rag or something to wipe it off the granite.
Soft Scrub ( from the store ) and use a sponge without the srub side . Apply reaptedly until it is gone ! Only if that isn't enough then ( and only then ) use the scrubbing side of the sponge !
try pouring a puddle brake fluid (for cars) on it. It surrounds particles and water, and anything that isnt brake fluid. when you wipe it up, it will have pulled the little rust particles into itself and out of the granite.
goo
gone wroks
Navel jelly at the hardware store works great.
just use coke the soda it toke the rust off my reems!
usually stains on my counter fade with time like KOOLAID!
I would call the company that sells the granite before I put anything on it to get it out . Some cabinet stores in your area that sells granite should be able to give you a professional opinion as to what to use. Maybe they will need to come out and buff out the stain , and reseal . But I would never put bleach or other harsh cemicals on it /
call where you got the granite and ask them that is your best bet cause cause might cause damage to you granite
TRY BAKING SODA.MY GRANDMA SWEARS BY IT FOR STAIN.
